My result doesn't seem right. What should I do?
Our tool applies standard SSA income disregard rules and 2026 CMS limits, but some states have additional rules or recent policy changes. We recommend applying through your state's Medicaid agency regardless — they make the final determination and it's free to apply. Email us if you believe there's an error in our data.
Is this tool affiliated with Medicare or the government?
No. MSP Check is an independent, free tool. We are not affiliated with Medicare, Medicaid, CMS, or the Social Security Administration. See our About page for more.
How do I apply for the Medicare Savings Program?
After your eligibility check, the results page links directly to your state's Medicaid application. You can also call your state Medicaid office or visit medicare.gov to find a free SHIP counselor who can help you apply.

How can I report incorrect eligibility data for my state?
Email us the state, the figure that appears incorrect, and a link to the official source (CMS or your state Medicaid agency). We review and update data regularly.
