What SLMB Covers

SLMB does not cover Medicare deductibles, coinsurance, or copays (those are covered only under QMB). If your income is at or below the QMB limit, apply for QMB instead.

How to Apply for SLMB

Apply at your state Medicaid office. SLMB and QMB applications are usually the same form. When you apply, the state will determine which tier you qualify for based on your income. Processing typically takes up to 45 days.
